My Story

In 2016, as a freshman in high school, I lettered in football, basketball, and golf. One highlight that year was getting to play against Zion Williamson in a summer league basketball game—an experience I’ll never forget.

By 2018, I decided to focus solely on golf, with the goal of earning a college scholarship. That winter, I played in a tournament at Pinehurst and shot 82–89. It was a tough result, but it lit a fire in me. I committed to putting in the work, knowing that improvement would come through effort and perseverance.

In 2019, I won the Greenville County High School Junior Golf Tournament and shot a 67 at Thornblade. That summer, I received an offer to play collegiate golf at Anderson University—and I committed.

In 2021, I was honored to be named SAC Freshman of the Year, made lifelong friendships, and met a stunning blonde with blue eyes who would later become my wife.

By 2022, I decided I wanted to pursue professional golf and set a goal to enter the transfer portal after a the fall season. Over Christmas break, I took an official visit to Liberty University and truly believed it was the right fit. When they chose not to offer me at the time, it was a tough moment—but they told me they wanted to see how I performed in the spring.

February 2023 was a turning point. At our first spring tournament in St. Augustine, FL, I shot 69–67 in the first two rounds. I barely slept that night knowing the importance of the final round. The next day, I shot 63—and that night, I got a call from Clemson. I visited the next day and committed. My first year at Clemson was a big jump. It took time to adjust and learn that I had to play my game—not try to be someone else.

In 2024, I was in and out of the lineup but kept grinding. I played the Azalea Amateur in Charleston and nearly came away with the win. Coach Byrd gave me another shot in the lineup, and we made the most of it—winning our Regional and beating #2 UNC on their home course. I shot 65–65–70 that week.

Just three days after we competed at the National Championship, I married my best friend, Cara Keever. It was the best finish to an incredible journey so far.
