"Swinging Faster, Thinking Bigger"

Got to play Chechessee Creek Club!

2025 has been off to a tough start. I've had a couple of small wins, but overall, it feels like success has been a bit out of reach. That said, I’m staying optimistic — my two biggest events of the year are still ahead: Q-School.

Right now, I'm focused on finding any edge I can. When I look at the data from the top 25 players on tour, one thing stands out: they all hit it far. Distance matters. That’s why I’ve started lifting heavier, eating high-fat foods to put on weight, and doing speed training with my driver. Everyone is chasing ball speed these days.

Next time you watch a tour event on TV, pay attention when someone hits a drive — you'll likely see a ball speed graphic flash across the screen. Numbers typically range from 170 to 185 mph. That number measures how fast the ball is coming off the driver face at impact.

When I started tracking my numbers in March, my top speed was 174 mph. After a few months of focused training, I recently hit 187. That kind of progress is exciting — though I try not to compare myself to Rory or Ludvig’s ball speeds too much!

I’m also realizing there are some tough parts of this job. But at the end of the day, I’m incredibly grateful to be pursuing this as my career. And even more grateful for Cara — her support, and how hard she works for us, means everything.
